PIN Entry Device (PED) Security Guidelines for Retailers

Banking & Payments Federation Ireland (BPFI), in association with the Garda Bureau of Fraud Investigation (GBFI), has developed PIN Entry Device (PED) Security Guidelines for Retailers. Criminals have found it possible to insert data capturing equipment into the devices used to input credit/debit card and PIN details at retail outlets. This guide offers advice to retailers on steps to take to ensure the security of PEDs.
