Colin Moreland of Citi is appointed Chairman of the Federation of International Banks in Ireland (FIBI)

Colin Moreland, Managing Director with Citi, has been appointed Chairman of the Federation of International Banks in Ireland (FIBI).  He succeeds Jonathon Lowey of Citadel Securities (and formerly of J P Morgan).

Colin is Head of Treasury and Trade Solutions for Europe.  He has over 28 years’ experience in banking and, prior to his current position, he was Treasurer of Citibank Europe plc and Head of Treasury and Trade Solutions for Ireland.  In the past he has held a number of other positions within the firm including Money Markets, Capital Markets, Derivatives and FX sales.

Colin holds a BA in Economics (Hons) and a Masters of Business Studies (MBS) in Banking and Finance and completed his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from University College Dublin with 1st Class Honours in 2002.

“I look forward to building further on the success of the international banking sector here, doing so by working closely with our FIBI members and our stakeholders”, stated Colin.  “This objective has seldom been more important when viewed against the backdrop of the challenges and the opportunities presented by Brexit.”
